In the beginning of me and my ex’s relationship he put me down as an authorized user of his credit card, we used the card a few times for a short period of time, but I totally stopped using it. I finally grew a brain and got away from him, but only to find out that problems were ahead…. I was denied a small loan to find out that my credit was bad….really bad. This is all because he is in debt for $15,000 to $16,000 on the card that he added me to. I was also and am still getting harrassed by collection agencies (even though the credit card company told me that I am not liable for the balance and put me on a “do not call list” for the collection agencies)…obviously not working. These collection agencies are also calling other members of my family. I tried to talk to my ex about it, but he just laughed in my face. He wont answer or return these agencies calls. So while hes off ignoring these agencies and letting them come after me, Im having to go through the same process every other month to have my credit fixed. I know that Im not liable for the charges, but what can I do to make this frustrating and very stressful pattern stop…for good?? I want my credit where it should be, which is very good. This has caused me so much stress and emotional damage….I dont know how much more I can take. Its bad enough when you make the biggest mistake(ex boyfriend) of your life, but it’s even worse when you finally wise up and end it just to have it follow you….this has been going on for 11 months.
p.s. I actually even have proof of harrassing messages from both him and his “now” wife….
