I recently was in an accident. My front end received quite a bit of damage. The bolts that hold my licese plate on were completely torn off, so I currently have no front license plate. I have been carrying it around in my car in case I would get stopped by a cop. Today I was at Raging Waters and a cop left me a ticket on my windshield charging me $35 for not having my front license displayed. I plan on writing a letter fighting this ticket by giving the accident report number, but I'm wondering how long I have after an accident to make the repairs. What else can I do? Do I have a chance to get this ticket overturned or am I screwed? Thanks so much!
